Carlin’s Battery D’s WV Birthday Celebration

The park has a Civil War era style soldiers quarters, cannon redoubt and trench works. Wood County’s Carlin’s Battery D, who are headquartered at the fort, will be there with the Cannon, which will be fired during the days events. There will be static displays concerning the Civil War, in Wood County and Fort Boreman from the Union and Confederate perspective.. A special attraction, for our 3rd Annual Birthday Event, will be a full scale replica of the Confederate Submarine “The Hunley” from Charleston, SC.. Another attraction scheduled for Saturday night will be the production of the William Watson Civil War based one act play, at the parks overlook, called “The Breaking of Bread”.
Vendors will be on site for food and souvenirs.
