Spring Clean Up
Beech Fork State Park
Volunteers welcomed to help spring clean the grounds. Volunteers receive free camping, if interested, this weekend only when participating and completing a participation form in advance. Registration form online or at the park office. Boots, gloves, and work clothes are suggested attire. Lunch is provided to clean up volunteers. Call with any questions.
Youth groups welcomed.

School of the Longhunter and Contemporary Longrifle Association Show
Prickett’s Fort State Park
An intense weekend of instruction exploring the role of early frontiersmen on the American frontier. Speakers will focus on the frontier skills of the long hunter. In addition to the educational programming, there will be a sanctioned CLA mini-show and sale. Registration for Longhunter includes admission to both events.

Antique experts will be at the Blennerhassett Museum from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. providing verbal appraisals of your family heirlooms, attic treasures, or unique estate and garage sale finds. Guns must be in cases. No musical instruments. The cost is $5 per item (limit four items per person).

This time of year the Redbud Trees abound us with their beautiful color. The roadsides and town of Berkeley Springs is brimming with the pinkish-purple hue of this flowering tree. Sponsored by the Morgan County Ecology Coalition several events and activities will be provided throughout the area.
Wildflower walks and spring talks will be held this weekend at Cacapon.

Jones Imboden Raid Civil War Weekend
Prickett’s Fort State Park
In April 1863 Confederate forces invaded Fairmont, Virginia (now West Virginia) in an attempt to gain control of the strategic B&O Railroad and capture Francis Pierpont, Governor of the Re-Organized Virginia. The park will commemorate this event through various re-enactments and demonstrations.
